Microdermabrasion in the Denver Metro Area

One of our most popular non-surgical, non-chemical treatments to correct superficial skin problems.

How does microdermabrasion work?

A typical treatment lasts less than 60 minutes. Microdermabrasion can erase years of damage resulting from sun exposure, a dry climate, and aging. Patients choose this exfoliation treatment to obtain the following results:

  • Improve tone and texture by exfoliating away dry, damaged skin.
  • Restore a healthy, youthful glow with no downtime.
  • Enhance the effect of skin care products.
  • Soften fine lines and wrinkles.
  • Reduce pore size.

A precision instrument sprays a stream of superfine crystals onto the face to safely and gently remove tiny particles of damaged, dead skin. It is possible to combine this procedure with facialspeels, and masks to further enhance the exfoliation process and drive moisture into the skin. During treatment, most patients experience little or no discomfort. Afterward, a soothing sunscreen is applied to the treated areas.

Microdermabrasion recovery

You can plan to resume your regular activities and skin care routine directly following treatment. For 1 to 2 days, your skin may look mildly pink, but this can be easily concealed with makeup.

Depending on your skin type, condition, and personal goals, 3 to 6 treatments over several months may be required to obtain optimal results.

Another option: Discover dermaplaning

Dermaplaning is an efficient solution for patients who would like to reduce the peach fuzz and correct dullness in their facial skin. This non-invasive treatment can improve the look and quality of the skin in a relatively short period of time.

Dermaplaning is sometimes referred to as facial shaving, as the treatment involves one of our trained skin care specialists gently running a blade over the skin with light, feathery strokes. The right combination of light pressure and downward motion removes vellus hair (peach fuzz) and lightly abrades or exfoliates to remove the dead cells of the top layer of skin, where dirt, debris, and excess oil accumulate to create a dull appearance.

Dermaplaning treatments provide immediate benefits as clear and healthier skin is revealed, and results will continue to improve in the days following a session, as the process also stimulates increased elasticity in the skin and the continual replacement of older, dead cells with newer, rejuvenated ones.

An entire dermaplaning treatment session lasts between 15 to 30 minutes, depending on the size and contours of the areas to be treated. Because the process requires no incisions or other invasive measures, there is no downtime associated with the treatment.
